Our Name.
LeAurelienne was founded by Alison as a tribute to the extraordinary women who have profoundly influenced her life. The name honours her late mother; her daughter, whose middle name is Vivienne; her incredible mother, who helped raise her from the age of 12 and her endlessly supportive mother-in-law. A fusion of their names, LeAurelienne reflects their strength, resilience and beauty. These qualities inspire each design, crafted and selected to carry a sense of strength, elegance and empowerment for those who wear them.
Jewellery: A Passion, A Purpose.
As Alison's daughter grew older and developed a love for jewellery, her eczema-prone, sensitive skin made finding suitable, affordable pieces a challenge. Nickel-free and tarnish-resistant options, including standard gold-plated jewellery proved to be less durable over time and some even caused irritation and rashes.
Through research and trying different products, Alison discovered that high-quality materials like gold vermeil and solid gold were gentler on her daughter's sensitive skin, while sterling silver provided an affordable, durable and skin-friendly option.
While solid gold comes at a higher price tag, Alison discovered that gold vermeil and sterling silver provide excellent alternatives, offering a balance of durability, quality and affordability for those seeking skin-friendly options.
